Autumn Strummer by kayceeus Autumn Strummer by kayceeus
Leaves

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

Yes darn it all! I too keep running into these little children playing instruments on remote rural trails and paths. What's up with that?

And why do they call them pipers if they're playing stringed instruments?

Ha ha they call them pipers because they can't think of anything else to call them and who says it's got to make sense!!! :D

You do realise that I was just playing.

... although Autumn Stringer and Autumn Strummer do have their charms.

Get one with a trumpet and you can have an Autumn Strumpet!

You are a master at bringing light into your compositions. I'd love to know how you do it ... but I guess it's a trade secret.

Thank you so much but actually it's no big secret at all, mostly I just use cloud photos and put the dark where I want it to be dark and the light... well you know the rest! :D

This is kind of eerie since the little girl is alone. But anyway, seamless integration of the girl into the autumn background.
